Within the nature reserve and sculpture park, re-naturing is ongoing through planting native species, reestablishing ‘Cajun’ prairie, starting over a thousand regionally native trees to regrow bottom land hardwood forest, creating wetland habitats for birds, amphibians, reptiles, fishes, creating pollinator habitats from native hibiscus, swamp milkweed, and many more regional plants to aid butterflies , native bees and other insects.
